Fresh From The Farm

The purpose of this college project is to create a unique/memorable packaging that would emulate the quality of the product and brand of our choosing. For this project, I decided to choose Chobani.

Chobani is a Greek yoghurt brand that is based in the US. I decided to create a limited edition packaging to highlight Chobani’s fair trade initiative, and their pledge to ensure ethical practices in the production of yoghurt.

The overall theme for the packaging project was inspired by traditional milkman carriers with a touch of rustic farm life.
I chose to go with glass bottles for the yoghurt and yoghurt drink to create a packaging that people can reuse over and over again. I chose squarish glass bottles as I was inspired by traditional milkman bottles.

The basket is handmade from metal wires. For the thicker wires, I had them welded so that I would have a sturdy structure for the basket. Then, I used thinner wires that I bent and weaved through the thicker wires with a dab of super glue to hold them in place. Once the weaving was complete, I used a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and white vinegar to age/rust the metal.
For the bottle labels, I experimented with a few illustration styles before I decided to settle on the engraving illustration style. I felt that this style would be the best to show just how fresh and natural Chobani's ingredients are.
